Redeeming Sexuality

Seems like everybody's having sex, huh? This is for those who are still waiting for a ring on the finger.

Through media, writing, and clothing, Redeeming Sexuality seeks to do just that - redeem today's view of sexuality and bring it back to how God intended it to be.

Virgins for life?

Tired of movies that are all about people having sex?  Well “Virgins for Life” is about teens who have decided to wait until marriage to have sex.  This is an “ironic sex comedy” that is seeking to  bring the redeemed view of sexuality to film and media that this world desperately needs.

Please support the cause so that this movie can be made to inspire and encourage people who are waiting for the true love found in marriage.  And spread the word - this message is important!

How many movies are out there about a guy in high school who is desperate to lose his virginity before he graduates?

A lot, right?

And how many movies are there about high schoolers who don’t want to lose their virginities?

None.

And the movies that do feature characters like this make them out to be socially-awkward, condemning freaks.  It seems like any character who wants to wait until marriage to have sex is made out to be naive, ignorant, weird, or foolish.

Y’all, that ain’t right.

So how about a movie about high schoolers who are desperatenotto lose their virginities before they graduate?  An ironic sex comedy, if you will.  One that is just as hilarious as any other teen movie out there, but shows the alternate viewpoint.  One that doesn’t make virgins out to be socially-awkward, naive, or stupid.  A movie that’s neither cheesy nor preachy, but presents its message in a refreshing, hilarious way?

Ladies and gentlemen, I give to you -

VIRGINS FOR LIFE.

The way that sexuality is portrayed in mass media needs to be redeemed.  This film is a step towards that.

An Exploration of Sex as God Intended It

Sex is the physical manifestation of the marriage covenant.  We pledge in marriage to give our lives to just one person, so in turn they are the one person we give our bodies to in the most intimate way.  Just as in marriage, we promise to become with a person, never to separate from them, sex truly molds us into that one being.

To have sex outside of marriage is to bring two into one flesh without the covenant of always staying together with that person.  It is an improper use of sex.  Sex is supposed to intimately bring you together with who you’ve sworn to be bound to for the rest of your life.  Two becomes on - both through the marriage oath and the resulting physical consummation.

Promiscuous sex and the such trivializes the meaningfulness of the act that the Lord intended it for.  To take an act meant to represent unending matrimony and share in it with anyone you have not committed your life to devalues the act tremendously.

Using sex properly is about respecting God.  Also, it shows how God loves us - He wants sex to be special and meaningful.  He doesn’t want us hurt or to give ourselves so intimately to someone who has not fully promised their lives to ours.  It’s not a rule; it runs deeper than that.
